Wednesday Night = Fun Night On OLA.com

It’s officially decided by the members on OLA.com that Wednesday nights is Double Dare night. We play form 9pm until 12pm EST.
The game is just growing and growing as more members join in the fun and take advantage of spectacular gaming specials. I have already decided who’s double dare I am accepting. Players can either accept a dare or double dare. A dare is buying one thing from another seller and a double dare is buying 2 things. The two things do not necessarily have to be from the same seller. However, many seller offer great specials if you accept their double dare.

My double dare special this week is called “Double Dare Back Atcha!” When a person accepts my double dare and buys two items from my sellers special penny over auctions, I am sending them two free gifts. Therefore they are getting 4 items instead of 2 so I am giving it “back atcha.”

Some sellers are offering coupons, free shipping, % discounts, buy two get something of your choice for free, and mystery gifts, just to name a few specials.

This game is fun. It brings exposure to your auctions and encourages sellers to host special sales during this time of economic recession. If you have never played before, I urge you to give it a try. Simply throw a couple of auctions up on OLA.com sign up to play so that we can visit your auctions, and whamo you’re in. It’s as simple as that.

DOUBLE DARE GAME ON ONLINEAUCTION.COM

We had such a blast playing the Double Dare game on OLA.  This game is fun, exciting, and very fast paced. It was such a hit that we already played it twice. I think we are going to make this a weekly game.

The game lasts just a couple of hours and increases exposure to things that are up for auction on OLA.com.   A dare is when someone bids or buys something from a seller and a double dare is when they bid or buy two things, hence why it’s called Double Dare.  In order to sell, you must bid or buy…thats the rules, but what makes this game so fun is many times sellers will do special auctions just for the game. For example: I have seen sellers offer free shipping for a double dare; win two auctions and shipping is free. Others have set really low opening bids such as 99 cents and some as low as 25 cents on special items for the game. But the thing is, once the game is over, so are the specials. So players are in a frenzy trying to find what they want and grab it before someone else does. It’s crazy!

Some of the things I won are:
Some delicious coffees from Gourmet Grinds. I love coffee and I bought 2 special blend samples for just $2.50 each penny over price…which is OLA’s equivalent to buy it now. Because I bought 2 from her, I met my double dare. If I like them I will be going back and buying more because special coffees with a nice mug make great gifts for friends or anyone that loves coffees.

I also won some ribbons and a pie server from Callmemomo, another seller on OLA.com that always has seller specials running. I got those things dirt cheap! Four rolls of blue ribbon for .99 cents. Thats cheaper then the dollar store. I got the pie server for about a buck too. The shipping for all was less then 3 dollars. That is less then a gallon of gas.  I could not beat that!

I don’t know what I want to look for in the next game but I know that I am going to play. I have already set aside some jewelry that I will offer just for the game at 99 cents each. The way I set up my auctions are classic for one day but once the game is over I shut the auctions down so that the winning bidder with get the prize.

Hello world!

My name is Mari and I am excited to start my very first blog. I have three passions in life. My first and foremost is animals. I am a true animal lover. One day I hope to open an no kill no cage animal rescue with land and housing to take in all animals that need a safe place to live until we can find them a furever home. Everything that I do is to lead my dreams into reality.

My next passion is photography. At first it was fun to take pictures of people and that is something that I still enjoy. It is a great pride of mine to watch someone look at a picture that I took of them and hear them say out loud that they look beautiful. People are so self conscious about their appearance and tell me that they don’t like their picture taken. I will spend a few minutes finding out why then I correct that when I take the picture. “My face is too fat.” “My nose is too big.” “I don’t like my teeth.” All it takes is a little understanding of folks to find ways to make them feel good about themselves. Once I have that understanding, I ask them to give me one chance and if they don’t like the picture, they don’t have to pay for it. I have yet to have someone not buy a package after that offer.

As much as I enjoyed portraiture, I found it to be a seasonal business and not something that I can really count on financially. So I started broadening my field into photographic art and studied landscapes, cityscapes, abstract art, color forming such as black and white and IR, and found that I am pretty good at it. My third passion, but really isn’t a passion, rather just a great interest and a means to my dreams is jewelry. I like jewelry but I wear very little of it. OLA is such a great community. I have not seen anything like it. The buyers and sellers have genuine concern for each other. The staff is remarkable. No canned answers to questions. We get REAL emails from real people that answer our questions. As a community, we come together and host site wide sales and fun games. I really believe that moving there from the three eyed monster was led by God. Of all the auction and selling sites, OLA is the best because everyone there is making it the best. We are a community, not just a bunch of sellers and buyers.
